What runs against your server, and what it is allowed to do.

The audience for this site operates mission-critical databases, and the first question is always the same: is it safe to run against production? This page answers it directly — the diagnostic run is read-only, agentless, unprivileged, and self-cleaning by design.

Read-only

A diagnostic run reads engine and host statistics. It does not write to your data, alter your schema, or change configuration.

Agentless

It connects over a single database connection. No SSH, no host login, and nothing installed on the server.

Unprivileged and self-cleaning

It runs as the unprivileged database user, with a minimal footprint that cleans up after itself. It is designed to be safe to run on a live production system.

You stay in control

You provision the access, you see exactly what is collected, and you receive the report. Nothing leaves your environment that you have not agreed to.

How the capabilities respect the same boundary

The native extensions — vector, fuzzy search, graph, cache and types — are added to the engine deliberately and under your control, through your normal change process. They use the engine's own extension mechanism and are addressed in ordinary SQL, governed by the same access controls as the rest of your data.

Change data capture is the one component that runs outside the engine by design. It reads the logical log as an external process, so streaming load never competes with transactional work, and nothing of it runs inside the engine. It captures only the tables you configure.

Data handling

Personal data you provide through the contact form is processed under EU data-protection law. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this site, and we do not build a browsing profile. The detail is in the Privacy Policy and the Cookies Policy.
